If you’ve been following Woven Wild Co. lately, you’ve probably noticed that things have been a little busy around here — in the best possible way.
My yarn stash has been getting a workout, my house has slowly been taken over by plushies, and I’ve been spending a lot of my free time getting ready for upcoming craft shows. There’s something really exciting about seeing a table full of things that started as nothing more than a skein of yarn and an idea.
Getting Ready for Craft Show Season
Craft show prep is officially in full swing!
It's been a couple of years since my last show. I’ve been working on building up inventory, figuring out displays, making signs and tags, packaging items, and, of course, crocheting as much as I can. There are currently chickens, ghosts, bears, dumplings and all kinds of other little creatures hanging out around my house waiting for their turn to head to a market.
One of my favorite parts of preparing for a show is deciding what to bring. I want my booth to have a little bit of everything — cute things for kids, fun gifts, practical crochet pieces and a few bigger statement pieces.
And because everything is handmade, no two markets will ever have exactly the same inventory.
Meet the Mystery Dumplings
One of the newest additions to Woven Wild has also been one of the most fun for me to make: Crochet Mystery Dumplings!
Each dumpling is packaged as a surprise, so you don’t know which one you’re getting until you open it.
There are five different rarity levels:
Common — one color
Uncommon — two colors
Rare — three colors
Super Rare — metallic sparkle
Epic — rainbow sprinkles
I’ve had way too much fun putting together different color combinations and packaging these little guys. There’s just something about the mystery of not knowing which one you’re going to pull that makes them even more fun.

The Boo Buddies Have Arrived
With fall here, I obviously needed to add some ghosts to the Woven Wild lineup.
Enter the Boo Buddies.
These little crochet ghosts are soft, squishy and each have their own personality. I wanted something seasonal that was still cute enough to leave out beyond Halloween, and I think these guys fit right in.
They’ll be coming with me to upcoming markets, and they’re also one of the newer items available through my Etsy shop.

And Yes… There Are Still Chickens
If you’ve been here for a while, you already know that Woven Wild has somehow become home to a growing flock of crochet chickens.
There are little chickens.
There are bigger chickens.
There are colorful chickens.
And then there’s the enormous chicken.
That one is hard to miss.
I love making items that make people stop at my booth, smile and say, “Wait… you MADE that?” The chickens definitely seem to accomplish that.

Something New: Upcycled Tees
I’ve also started experimenting with something a little different — upcycled crochet tees.
I take an existing shirt and add crochet details by hand to turn it into something completely unique. These have quickly become some of my favorite pieces to work on because I get to combine crochet with clothing and create something that truly can’t be duplicated exactly.
I’m especially excited to bring more of these to upcoming markets.

More Handmade Goodies
Along with the newer items, I’m continuing to make many of the Woven Wild favorites, including market bags, Kindle sleeves, bucket hats, coffee sleeves, washcloths, scrubbies, water bottle holders, plushies and other little creations that happen when I see yarn and think, I wonder what I could make with that.
That’s honestly one of my favorite things about Woven Wild.
I don’t want it to be a shop where I try new patterns, play with different colors and bring whatever I’m excited about making at the moment.

See You at the Next Market
There has been a LOT of crocheting happening behind the scenes lately, and seeing everything start to come together for craft show season has made all of those late-night crochet sessions worth it.
If you see me at an upcoming market, come say hi! Even if you’re just stopping by to see the giant chicken or pull a Mystery Dumpling, I’d love to meet you.
And if you can’t make it to a market, you can always see what’s currently available in my Etsy or Shopify shop:

Thank you to everyone who has followed along, shared a post, stopped by a market, placed an order or simply told me that something I made was cute. Every bit of support means more than you probably realize.
There’s plenty more coming to Woven Wild Co., and I can’t wait to show you what I’m working on next.
Handmade goods, woven for the wild at heart.
